Harley Road Glide®

Whatever it is, it’s better in the wind!

The Harley Road Glide® is the perfect bike for riders looking to cross cities and discover new roads. It runs mile after mile with ease. Since hitting the streets in 1998, the model family has gained popularity and a strong following.

Harley-Davidson® Touring models dominate sales every year, but the Road Glide® offers something unique. ‘Shark Nose’, frame-mounted fairing. The fairing is attached to the frame itself, so it does not move when you turn the handlebar.

Road Glide® riders favor it, enjoying the way it handles and the wind coverage it provides. With the handlebars positioned closer to the rider and the fairing further away, the design also offers more room while riding.

This motorcycle of course comes with the Milwaukee-Eight® 107 Engine which is powerful. It offers that pure, soul-satisfying rumble.

It also offers ABS brakes. Designed to help prevent the wheels from locking under braking.  They assist the rider in maintaining control when braking in a straight-line.

ABS operate independently on front and rear brakes to keep the wheels rolling and help prevent uncontrolled wheel lock in urgent situations.

This is the benchmark for long-distance touring bikes. The Harley Road Glide® will take you where you want to go!

Harley Tri Glide®

Harley Tri Glide®

The 2020 CVO Tri Glide® is billed as the “ultimate three-wheeler,” and brings the style and amenities to match. Harley-Davidson®

The new 2020 CVO Harley Tri Glide® is the first three-wheeler to make the cut and be included in The Motor Company’s uber-exclusive CVO club. Yep, for 2020, the new CVO Tri Glide® model joins the Limited and Harley Street Glide® two-wheelers in the high-end, limited-production, super-premium category.

You sort of had to have seen it coming, no? I mean, The Motor Company says this is the most-requested model in the history of Custom Vehicle Operations, so it was only a matter of time before popular opinion moved the needle. The trike, naturally, is awash with all sorts of premium components and up-spec tech, like a top-of-the-line Boom! Box GTS infotainment system with premium speakers, as well as the Boom. Audio 30K Bluetooth headset to control all the goods wirelessly. But Harley-Davidson® says this “ultimate three-wheeler” is set up for touring too, so you’ll also find creature comforts like heated rider and passenger seats, a touring rack, backlit handlebar controls (very nice), a CB radio, and lots of other high-end goodies as well.

LED lighting all around, which includes a Daymaker headlamp, fog lamps, tail/brake lamps, and signals, as well as a low-profile shield to punch a hole in the atmosphere. A Ventilator air cleaner (with insert) beautifies the right side, with Kahuna Collection accessories—heated rider grips, pegs, rider and passenger floorboards, and muffler tips—to cap off the premium vibe. A slimmer front fender reveals more of the custom 19-inch Tomahawk Contrast Cut wheel, with an 18-incher out back. Got all that?

The 2020 CVO Tri Glide® comes in a choice of two premium custom paint finishes – Blizzard White with a three-stripe graphic pattern, Gray Contrast Cut wheels, and Bright Chrome finishes; or Black Stardust with a three-stripe graphic pattern, Gloss Black Contrast Cut wheels, and Bright Chrome finishes. Since this is a CVO machine, it will cost you, but so worth it! Andrew Cherney/Cruiser

This bike is loaded and ready to hit the road.

Harley-Davidson® Riding is More than Just a Passion

Ambika is a member of the Ladies of Harley. A pan-India group of women that are of course proud Harley-Davidson® riders. Women from the group tell HerStory about their motorbiking journeys, what it means to be a rider, challenges, accidents, and more importantly, the sisterhood of the biking community.

Harley established its roots in India in 2009 and set up chapters for its riders. These chapters give riders an opportunity to meet and organize trips and rides and create a biking culture. The Ladies of Harley is one of these chapters, exclusively for women.

Learning to Ride a Harley-Davidson® Motorcycle

When Ambika was only 12 years old, her father taught her to ride a bike. As an army kid, she grew up in the army environment – a tomboy who never shied away from learning anything under the sun.  The two still share a strong passion for bikes and Ambika’s dad often rides pillion on her bike over weekends, chatting through Bluetooth-enabled helmets.

For Sony Mathew, a Kochi-based entrepreneur, the journey of riding a bike started all on her own. By sneaking away with her father’s scooter when he wasn’t home. Then she started using her brother’s bike, her uncle’s bike, and finally her friend’s bike when Sony was in college. Describing herself as an ‘uncontrolled rider’, Sony remembers being so obsessed with riding that no number of falls, scraped knees or head bumps could stop her.

Amanda Brown, AVP at Wizcraft, did not face a lot of challenges when it came to riding. She was in eighth grade when a boy in her neighborhood taught her to ride a bike. However, it was only after she had an accident that severed her Achilles’ tendon and put her to rest for three months, that she decided to buy a bike for herself. With her son being the right age for him to be a pillion rider, she decided there was never a better time and bought a Harley Davidson® Iron 883. Apart from being a member of Ladies of Harley (LOH), she is also a member of Ladies of India, an all-women riders’ group who ride bikes above 650 cc.

““I think the sense of just being with yourself and experiencing the world around you is the kick of adrenaline. You get to connect with people, with nature, and with new places. A bike gives you a sense of freedom, which doesn’t compare to anything else in the world,” Amanda said.
